The Healdsburg School

THS students will be prepared to:

  • Demonstrate a mastery and knowledge of fundamental academic concepts and functions according to highest national and international curriculum standards
  • Design and implement appropriate strategies to solve various problems using skill sets acquired and mastered through the rigorous academic curriculum that focuses on math, economics, science, humanities, social sciences, literature and world languages
  • Exhibit ability to use higher order thinking skills; critical thinking, listening, and reading; in problem solving, analysis and questioning
  • Matriculate successfully to high schools of their choice
  • Embody the International Baccalaureate learner profile
  • Articulate ideas clearly, creatively, and effectively in writing and speaking
  • Demonstrate knowledge of United States History, World History, and World Geography (cultural and physical)
  • Have an awareness, acceptance, and appreciation of global culture
  • Demonstrate the ability to utilize technology effectively across the disciplines
  • Employ appropriate social skills
  • Work effectively as a cooperative learner as a member of a team
  • Exhibit social and environmental responsibility locally, nationally and globally
  • Have an understanding of the importance, and an appreciation, of music, visual and performing arts
  • Have a holistic knowledge of the human body and how physical exercise and the involvement of sport benefit a healthy lifestyle
