Does applying for tuition support affect my child’s chances of being admitted to THS?
Students are considered for admission independent of financial need. THS welcomes those of all economic means.
If I expect that my circumstances would only allow for a small grant, should I still apply?
Yes, absolutely! THS makes a wide range of grant allocations, recognizing that for some families even a small amount of assistance can make a critical difference.
Is tuition support automatically renewed each year?
Tuition support is renewed each year as long as a family demonstrates continued need. Each family is required to reapply for assistance annually and must submit the necessary forms within the established time frame in order to qualify.
Does tuition support cover school related expenses?
Tuition support helps cover only the cost of tuition.
Are the deadlines important?
Yes, definitely. In order to make fair and expeditious decisions for all families, it is very important to adhere to the established deadlines. Complete applications must be submitted by January 31, 2018. Applications received after this date will be considered if funding is available.
Are assets as important as income in determining a grant?
Yes. All assets are factored into the recommendations provided by the Tuition Aid Data Services (TADS).
