Social responsibility is one of the pillars of The Healdsburg School. Each year students actively engage in group and individual service learning projects with local, national, and international impacts.
One of the most important aspects of the inquiry cycle is that of taking action. As a teacher, I am always moved by the moment my students realize that they not only want to act to better the world, but that they have the capacity to make things happen.

I know people understand that a community service project helps the community. It also helps you in a way. It brings light into your heart to know that you’re helping the community…I always look at things from the perspective of someone in need.
