JULIE CYPHERS, ESQ,is an immigration attorney in private practice in Santa Rosa, California. She attended California State University, Chico, and University of Washington, Seattle where she studied Asian Studies with a primary focus on China. Ms. Cyphers was a research assistant at the Center for Gender and Refugee Studies at UC Hastings School of Law and then attended law school for a year at Durham University in England. She graduated from Empire College of Law in December 2007 with a Juris Doctorate. Ms. Cyphers has taught Immigration Law and been involved with the Immigration Law Clinic at Empire College of Law since 2009. She serves on the Board of Directors of Legal Aid of Sonoma County, is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and Sonoma County Bar Association. Ms. Cyphers has been named a ‘Rising Star’ by Super Lawyers Magazine from 2013-2016. She speaks Spanish and Mandarin.
