KEVIN MCGEE, Vice-Chair, is the President & CEO of Anderson Valley Brewing Company, a pioneering craft brewery located in Boonville, CA and founded in 1987. Kevin moved to Healdsburg with his wife Katee in 2005 to serve as the personal business strategist and legal counsel to wine industry legend Jess Jackson until his passing in 2011. He is a graduate of the Executive Program at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business, has been actively practicing law for over 20 years and has served as a Judge Pro Tem. Kevin was formerly the principal and founder of Tradecraft Strategic Advisors, a multi-disciplinary firm providing operating partner and strategic advisory services, is the former CEO of a wine and hospitality-focused private equity firm, has held a number of senior executive and board positions in both domestic and overseas firms and has built a variety of businesses – the most fun being The Healdsburg Beer Company (which has been fully licensed and operating out of his garage since 2007). Prior to moving to Healdsburg, Kevin was in civil practice as a litigation attorney in Santa Barbara but spent the first years of his legal career as a prosecutor in the Bay Area focusing on gang violence matters. Kevin has taken his turn at occasionally teaching others and has been returning to the Stanford GSB to teach a case in the entrepreneurship program for the past seven years, spent eight years teaching gang violence law and trial skills to other prosecutors for the California District Attorneys’ Association, and in his youth instructed others in skiing and martial arts. Kevin and Katee have a daughter attending THS in the eighth grade.
