MARYROSA RAMOS
Music Teacher MARYROSA RAMOS-BURGOSĀ is a music teacher with a passion for fostering a lifelong enjoyment of music through the development of musical skills. A certified K-12 Music Educator, her pedagogy draws upon the teaching methods of Zoltan Kodaly, Carl Orff, and Edwin Gordon, among others. Through her style, she seeks to develop creativity, ingenuity, and appreciation of music as an art form using age-appropriate activities including instrument playing, music theory, history, singing, dancing, movement, and games.
Maryrosa holds degrees in Piano Performance and Music Education, Choral Emphasis; and minors in Secondary Education, Dance, and Spanish from Kent State University, Kent, Ohio. She holds a K-12 Music Specialist Certification, a Multiple Subject Teaching Certification.
With over 20 years of experience in both public and private schools, she has taught Elementary, and Middle School General Music has been Music/Choral/Theatre Director and Choreographer for Middle School and High School and has taught private piano lessons in Ohio and Texas. She is actively involved in professional organizations and holds memberships in the Ohio Music Education Association, Texas Music Education Association, Texas Choral Directors Association, and the National Association of Music Education.
Maryrosa enjoys gardening, antiques, travel, attending the performing arts, and driving around the beautiful Sonoma County with her husband and children.
