COURTNEY COCHRAN

COURTNEY COCHRAN is a marketing communications leader with over 20 years’ experience driving success and reputation for food, beverage and technology firms. She is the principal of STUDIO SOIF, an independent agency delivering branding and communications to the beverage-alcohol, specialty food, and better-for-you CPG space.

Prior to founding her agency, Cochran was head of brand and communications at The EVERY Company, a series C food tech startup making egg proteins more sustainably without animals. Prior to EVERY, Cochran was director, public relations and corporate communications for Fetzer Vineyards (now Bonterra Organic Estates), where for more than six years she oversaw product, company and sustainability communications. Previously, Cochran was a communications strategist at GALLO and founded HIP TASTES Communications in San Francisco. 

Cochran has deep experience in brand, crisis and impact communications, including elevating vanguard and complex sustainability claims and certifications such as B Corp, Regenerative Organic Certification (ROC), and Climate Neutral, as well as communications related to conformance to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Cochran holds a BA Magna Cum Laude from the University of California, Los Angeles and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. A certified sommelier, she is the author of the award-winning book, Hip Tastes: The Fresh Guide to Wine (2007), published by Viking Studio, an imprint of Penguin Random House.

She resides with her family in Healdsburg, California with her husband and daughter Pia.
