At The Healdsburg School, our summer camps are designed to ignite curiosity, foster creativity, and cultivate a love for learning in a fun, engaging environment. We believe that summer should be a time of exploration and growth, where children can immerse themselves in hands-on activities that inspire them. Our teachers design and run camps that reflect the THS culture of joyful learning and meaningful connections.

Each week features a different theme, allowing campers to partake in multiple sessions for a diverse experience. Art Fusion Camp with Ann Weber:

All Ages Welcome
Join Ann Weber and Crew for an exciting, arts-integrated summer camp where creativity meets hands-on exploration. Campers will dive into dynamic design challenges, including cardboard arcade games and GlowForge engravings. They will make paper and screen print onto it with homemade inks, and use Procreate and a green screen to create animated worlds. Through a mix of individual and group projects, participants will develop problem-solving skills, artistic expression, and a deep understanding of a wide variety of materials, from plant dyes to large mural canvases. This immersive experience will encourage artists and engineers to turn ideas into reality, and make memories through the power of analog and digital art and design. In our play-based summer camp, your child will explore, learn, and make memories. THS Summer Bears Musical Camp: "FROZEN, KIDS" with Connie Schlotthauer

Rising Kinder - 8th Grade
Our THS Summer Bears Musical Camp will be “Frozen, Kids”! Each day will be filled with learning choreography, songs, scene work and preparing for our performance at the end of the week - complete with costume and set design and camp t-shirts. This is a fanciful and heartwarming stage adaptation of the celebrated animated film. Cast members will join Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Sven, and all of our favorite characters as they embark on an epic, ice-filled journey of self-discovery, camaraderie, and the real meaning of true love. Adapted for young performers, this musical includes favorite Frozen songs such as “Love Is an Open Door,” “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?,” and “Let It Go,” as well as wonderful new songs from the Broadway production. Math Magic and Sensational Science with Heather Reichel

Come explore math and science! The students will engage in hands-on, interactive activities that foster a deeper understanding of math and science concepts. There will be experiments, projects, and games to spark interest and build critical thinking skills. In math, concepts learned during the school year will be enhanced with real-life scenarios and applications. Students will also be encouraged to work together to solve problems. A Fairy Adventure with Kiley Clark

Fairy campers will be invited to attend with fairy costumes or accessories. Campers will have fairy fun in fine and performing art. Campers will also enjoy fairy mindfulness, literature, and storytelling. Each day, campers will dive into enchanting fairy books, discovering the whimsical world of fairies, woodland creatures, and magical adventures. Read alouds and storytime will inspire their creativity and set the theme for the day's activities. Campers will bring their fairy dreams to life by making their own fairies using a variety of materials. They'll also design and decorate tiny fairy houses and furniture, using natural elements like twigs, leaves, moss, and flowers. Throughout the week, campers will collaborate to create a magical fairy village, complete with charming cottages, hidden pathways, and fairy stones. At the end of the week, the group will have the opportunity to take center stage in a delightful fairy play, bringing their magical world to life. Maker with Kiley Clark

Maker Camp is a hands-on, project-based adventure where young engineers and inventors bring their ideas to life! Perfect for curious creators and problem-solvers, this camp blends structured group builds with open-ended design challenges to inspire creativity, teamwork, and innovation. Each day, campers will make a simple machine or STEM structure/vehicle. Then, campers will tackle a new design challenge inspired by real-world engineering concepts. From designing the fastest zipline to creating the tallest freestanding tower, campers will apply their creativity and critical thinking skills to unique open-ended tasks. Using simple materials like maker tools, plastic screws and hardware, cardboard, string, and recycled objects, campers will test their designs, iterate, and improve their inventions through trial and error—just like real engineers! Campers will have the opportunity to create a large, collaborative piece, such as a city that gets attacked by monsters or chosen characters, or a bridge where a troll, or a colony or bunnies, lives underneath, or a cave home to a group of mythical beasts! Slimy Science with Kiley Clark

Rising TK - 4th Grade
Campers will be learning about the science behind slime while making a variety of slimes. We will also offer activities such as slime storytelling and slime art. Each slime will be tested and eventually ranked. Stretch Test Challenge: How far can slime stretch before it snaps? Campers will measure and record their slime’s stretch capacity, learning about elasticity and polymer chains in the process. Viscosity Trials: Through timed drip tests, campers will explore the thickness and flow of different slimes, discovering what makes some slimes ooze slowly while others drip quickly. Ultimate Slime Showdown: Using their scientific observations, campers will rank and crown the best slime of the week based on stretchiness, texture, viscosity, and overall wow factor! REGISTER HERE! Olympics Camp with Jeanette Inness
