COVID-19

The health and well-being of our school community is our highest priority and we are actively monitoring the latest information regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

We have developed a comprehensive Return to Campus Plan which adheres to or exceeds all state and county guidelines.

STUDENT ORGANIZATION AND PROTOCOLS

Health Screening, Hygiene, Physical Distancing

  • All families complete a symptom health screen at home.  If students have any symptoms, they must stay home and may participate in remote learning.

  • Upon arrival, all students’ temperatures are checked before they leave the car.

  • All students must wear a cloth mask covering their nose and mouth throughout the day.

  • Upon arrival, all students must wash their hands. Students will wash their hands every two hours, before and after snack/lunch.

  • Hand sanitizer is available throughout the campus.

  • If a student becomes ill during the day, they will be isolated in a designated room; a staff member will attend to the student wearing proper PPE; a parent must pick up the student immediately and seek medical advice.  The family must report medical findings to Tanya Bruno, Director of Operations.

  • Classrooms and outdoor spaces are organized to support six-foot physical distancing.

CAMPUS ORGANIZATION AND PROTOCOLS

 Entrance, Egress, and Movement Within the School

  • All classrooms are accessed from outside; we have no hallways.

  • Upon arrival, students will wash their hands at either the outdoor sinks or the sink in their classroom.

  • Parents and visitors are not allowed on campus during school hours unless essential.

Learning Spaces

  • All classes have students spaced throughout the rooms.

  • All grades have designated outdoor learning space

Cleaning and Disinfection

  • Bathrooms disinfected

  • Classrooms are cleaned daily and teachers will clean frequently touched surfaces in classrooms throughout the day.

  • We are working with Prestige Building Maintenance Services for additional cleaning services 

Staff Development, Wellness, and Testing

  • 100% of teachers participated in professional development to support at hone learning.

  • 100% of teachers and staff participated in training in disinfection practices and other COVID related protocols

  • Staff are required to complete health screening prior to coming to campus

  • All staff must complete a temperature check upon arrival

  • THS requires surveillance testing for staff and students.  Testing takes place weekly.  Details in Return to Campus Plan

  • All faculty and staff are vaccinated

Identification and Tracing of Contacts

  • Tanya Bruno is certified as a contact tracer.  She is our liaison with Public Health.
