Science Day

The countdown to Science Day is on and we are gearing up for The Healdsburg School’s biggest celebration of STEAM you’ve ever seen!

1. All hands on deck!  It takes a village and we want our village to be there to participate, explore and love what we do at THS.   We’re asking our volunteers to wear green shirts and students wear THS polos to represent our community.
2. Each class is responsible for one station – but above that, there’s more!  We need our middle school kids and parents to volunteer!  Here’s a link to the SignUp Genius with loads of ways for you to jump in!
3. 7th and 8th graders are launching a new tradition that will be held annually at Science Day – The THS Pinewood Derby!

4. We are literally TRIPLING the fun you will have at Science Day this year!  There are going to be fun experiments around every corner – the favorites will be back – but we’re adding such a cool layer of depth to the stations – it’s crazy.  You’ll be able to bring your bike in for a free tune-up, compete in the Nerdy Derby, test your spacial awareness with Perplexus, try your hand as a forensic detective, get ooey-gooey in slime and Oobleck, take cover from exploding Elephant toothpaste and join our rip roarin’ BBQ. Family Science Day will be packed with over 30 scientific stations geared to blow your imagination out of Healdsburg!
5. Science Day is open to EVERYONE!  And, the entrance is complimentary!  Bring friends, family, and kids from other schools!  This is our day to show off how great we are and how amazing our community truly is!  Don’t think twice about it – come one – come all!
