TASSLYN (Tazz) GESTER, Fourth Grade Teacher, graduated from UC Davis, receiving an undergraduate degree in Science and Technology Studies and Technical Writing, her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, and her Master of Arts in Teaching. She worked for five years as a copy editor for a milk genomics publication and wrote software manuals before embracing her true passion to teach. She is thrilled to share her training from the Globe Education Academy in London, England, and looks forward to incorporating new strategies to help students engage with language in more engaging and playful ways. In her free time, Tazz enjoys long walks with her rescue dog, Enzo, while listening to science podcasts and audiobooks.
