ANN WEBER
Art Teacher, ANN WEBER has also taught third and fourth grades at THS. Ann has two graduate degrees from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor; a Masters in K-8 education and an MSW in social work with a focus on community organization. She holds two BA degrees in psychology and anthropology from UM and holds current California multi-subject teacher certification, as well as a Teaching English as a Foreign Language certificate. She studied design at Stanford’s Hasso Plattner Institute of Design, STEAM education at SCOE, Ikebana at the Ohana Floral School in Tokyo, fresco-making in Florence, and miniatures painting in Tehran. She led several Andy Goldsworthy projects in Bali and Costa Rica, involving hundreds of participants. In 2016, she earned a grant from Creative Sonoma which gave access to local, underserved children to create a mosaic mural project at the Healdsburg Community Center, and a Target grant which gave DeYoung tickets to her art students. Ann was the director of art education at The Healdsburg Center for the Arts, where she taught and oversaw creativity camps, and coordinated classes and guest artists. Ann also has led the THS annual summer art camp for the past several years. She was a K-12 art instructor at Oxford Schools in Michigan for three years and was the K-12 art teacher for two years at Pathways Charter School in Rohnert Park before joining THS. Ann lives with three feisty teenagers, a hobby-farming, network engineer husband, and a crowd of cats and canaries. Art is one of her many passions; she loves sharing this love with the THS community!
