CONNIE SCHLOTTHAUER
Connie Schlotthauer is from the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe, in South Dakota. She holds a
Bachelor of Music in Education from the University of Northern Colorado and a Master of Music
Education with an Emphasis in Kodály from Colorado State University. She is a Level lll Kodály
educator and has received her Level lll Orff Schulwerk training from the San Francisco
International Orff Course. She has 40 years of professional musical experience as music
education, performer, and private flute teacher. Mrs. Schlotthauer finds joy in sharing her love
of music with her students and strongly believes in instilling kindness, compassion, and
inclusion through music education. Her experience includes teaching lower school Orff and
Kodály, middle school band, choir, handbells, and theater, as well as advanced high school
performance choir, orchestra, handbells, and drama. She and her husband have three
daughters and two granddaughters. She loves hiking on the Sonoma County beaches,
attending concerts, and spending time with her girls.
