DREW LICHTENBERGER
DREW LICHTENBERGER is thrilled to be teaching Second Grade at THS. Drew received her B.A. in Child Development at Cal. State Sacramento and her Multi-Subject teaching credential and Masters’ Degree in Education from the University of Phoenix. For most of her career, she taught second grade, although she has also taught first and third. Drew believes strongly in providing students with activities that stimulate and excite their curiosity and considers learning an active and affirmative process. All students in Drew’s class know their ideas are respected and that they are cared about as individuals. Through modeling, discussion, and awareness, she helps students make compassionate choices. Drew is driven by the belief that children thrive in an environment where they can grow both academically and socially into independent learners. Through positive guidance, her objective is to lead students to discover answers for themselves. Daily classroom activities help them develop their critical thinking skills and work collaboratively. Drew enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Going to live theater, playing word games, reading, antique store shopping, and exploring Sonoma County’s beautiful walking trails head her list of passions.
