KATE GUTHRIE, Third Grade Teacher, attended the University of Oregon for her undergraduate degree on an athletic scholarship. She earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in Journalism and became an All-American in Track & Field. Kate earned a Master of Arts in Teaching and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and Language Arts Teaching Credential at Pacific University. Kate previously taught language arts at Pleasant Hill Middle School in Oregon. In addition to teaching, she was the Head Cross Country Coach and Assistant Track & Field Coach at Pleasant Hill High School. She then spent four years coaching and teaching in the Waikato region of New Zealand. Currently, the Head Track & Field and Cross Country Coach at Healdsburg High School, Kate is excited to be back in the classroom.  In her free time, she enjoys running, travel, and exploring Sonoma County with her husband and children.
