Artist and Mother of two THS students, LESLIE MONTEIRO is thrilled to be part of the THS faculty as Garden Coordinator. With more than ten years of hands-on experience working and caring for children, three of which were spend managing and operating a successful in-home daycare. Gardening, harvesting, and preserving food has been an integral part of her family life, and finding new and creative ways to involve her children is a fun and rewarding challenge. With a focus on health and sustainability, Leslie is looking forward to working hand in hand with the students of THS to widen their knowledge of where their food comes from and proving that anyone can grow food!
In her free time, Leslie can be found reading, riding horses, or tending to her goat herd.
